The DreamCloud mattress is firmer that the average mattress when it comes to firmness. Bear in mind that this firmness is subjective and will depend on the body weight of the person who will be using the bed.

From my experience with DreamCloud, it was effective enough that I felt my back being supported properly while lying flat on my back. The shoulder area too was feeling pretty good and I felt little to no pressure around the area
That said, I did find my hips not as comfortable as my back and shoulder. Don’t get me wrong, I still feel wonderful, but the feeling of comfort I got form the hip area is not as much as that on the back and shoulder. It felt too firm for me to be honest.

Spring are naturally buoyant. The bed can feel a little bit of this bounciness. That said, most of this motion is not noticeable enough to be deemed significant.

This is not surprising, considering that the original mattress is one of the most soft memory foam mattresses on the market.
The foam in the first two layers is memory foam. It provides soft comfort and support. When you sink deeper in the mattress, you can feel the firmness put about by the support layer.

Due to the unique top layer, it is difficult to pinpoint the Purple Hybrid’s exact position on the firmness scale. It can be described as soft or medium firm by some people.
If we put it on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the softest, it might be at 6.5 to 7. With that said, it is a good choice for most people regardless of their sleeping style or body type.
Aside from firmness, this would be a good place to mention how the Purple Mattress feels. Given the curious construction of its top layer, many people will find the top layer pretty interesting.
