When talking about firmness, the DreamCloud mattress is firmer than the average mattress. Bear in mind that this firmness is subjective and will depend on the body weight of the person who will be using the bed.
The pocketed springs found on the support layer are perfect enough to provide the perfect firmness that most sleepers are looking for. This is balanced by comfort layer made from the comfiest memory foam.

- Body Pain: DreamCloud
Good mattresses should offer the right amount of support and pressure relief. They should also be capable of providing the right amount pain relief as comfort providers. The DreamCloud mattress is just like this.
From my experience with DreamCloud, it was effective enough that I felt my back being supported properly while lying flat on my back. My shoulder area felt great and I felt very little pressure.
Despite this, my hips are not as comfortable for me as my shoulder and back. Don’t get me wrong, I still feel wonderful, but the feeling of comfort I got form the hip area is not as much as that on the back and shoulder. It felt too firm for me to be honest.
Overall, I do believe that the DreamCloud Hybrid mattress provides an excellent job at relieving pressure in pain on the different body parts while sleeping.

When it comes to temperature control, DreamCloud is among the best in the selection. The combination of a gel-infused memory foam and breathable cover cools the upper layer of the mattress and helps pull the heat away from the sleeper.

All of this cooling is offset by the memory foam’s natural heating properties. This makes it that the DreamCloud Mattress is neither a Warm bed to sleep on and a cold bed to sleep on. Rather, the DreamCloud mattress is temperature neutral.

Motion isolation is the bed’s ability to isolate motion to different parts of the bed. Most hybrid mattress options are excellent in this aspect. This is due to how most hybrid beds are constructed.
In the case of the DreamCloud mattress, the quilted cover and layers of memory foam can absorb a reasonable amount of motion as people are moving on it. These beds are ideal for those who are constantly moving or have partners who are too mobile when they sleep.
That said, the motion isolation found in this mattress is not that perfect. Although the coiled springs are placed in a way that allows for better airflow, they still suffer from the same problems as innerspring mattresses.
It is an inescapable fact that springs are naturally bouncy. This bounciness affects the bed and can be felt a little. However, this motion isn’t noticeable enough to be considered significant.

Lastly, we cannot talk about a mattress performance without looking at its ability to support intimate times.
Most mattresses that are suitable for sex are comfortable and responsive. Couples love hybrid mattresses because they provide both comfort and responsiveness.

This is not surprising, considering that the original mattress is one of the most soft memory foam mattresses on the market.
The foam in the first two layers is memory foam. It provides soft comfort and support. When you sink deeper in the mattress, you can feel the firmness put about by the support layer.
Overall, the Nectar Classic Hybrid provides a good balance of comfort and support.
- Nectar Hybrid Classic for Body Pain
The Nectar Hybrid Classic does a great job in relieving body pain. Its softness provides little to no pressure in the important parts of the back, hip, and shoulder especially for back sleepers.
This may not be a good thing for side and stomach sleepers. When lying on the side, it seems like the bed cannot hold the pressure exerted on the hip part although it is nothing serious. This could be a problem in the long-term.
Firmer mattresses might be a better choice for those who sleep on their backs and sides.

The Nectar classic Nectar hybrid mattress seems to be able to regulate temperature better than all-foam mattresses.

Due to the unique top layer, it is difficult to pinpoint the Purple Hybrid’s exact position on the firmness scale. It can be described as soft or medium firm by some people.
If we put it on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the softest, it might be at 6.5 to 7. With that said, it is a good choice for most people regardless of their sleeping style or body type.
Aside from firmness, this would be a good place to mention how the Purple Mattress feels. Given the curious construction of its top layer, many people will find the top layer pretty interesting.
It has a gel-like feeling that is very stretchy and soft. Such a feeling is of course going to be polarizing as some sleepers will prefer the more traditional innerspring or memory foam beds.
It takes me a few nights to get used to the top layer of the mattress, but it does eventually grow on me. You can feel the bed compressing and conforming to your body’s shape.
It might sound unpleasant, but it isn’t. It is actually very comfortable, and you feel like you’re floating.

In terms of body pain and pressure relief in general, the Helix midnight does a great job at relieving pressure at the lower back. Pressure relief is made easier by the Helix midnight’s smoother surfaces.
For those who do not have enough pressure relief, the optional Luxe version does a better job thanks to the addition that adds more support and pressure relief to the back area.
It strikes a great balance between support and pressure relief. Side sleepers may find it too soft, and might opt for firmer models.

The Helix Midnight mattress is temperature neutral in terms of temperature regulation.
The main reason for this is the memory foam material that we all know by now, to sleep hot and retain said heat all throughout the night. The coil cores are great at keeping airflow consistent.
The mattress’ heat retention is therefore neutralized and maintained at a balanced state. The Helix Midnight without the core coil layer would likely be another hot mattress.
