From my experience with DreamCloud, it was effective enough that I felt my back being supported properly while lying flat on my back. My shoulder area felt great and I felt very little pressure.

That said, I did find my hips not as comfortable as my back and shoulder. While I feel great, my hips are not as comfortable as my back or shoulder. It just felt a little too firm to be honest.

It is difficult to properly pinpoint the Purple Hybrid’s position on the firmness scale due to its unique signature top layer. Some people find it soft, while some place it at a medium firm.

If we put it on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the softest, it might be at 6.5 to 7. With that said, it is a good choice for most people regardless of their sleeping style or body type.

Aside from firmness, this would be a good place to mention how the Purple Mattress feels. Many people will find its top layer quite interesting due to its unusual construction.

To describe it objectively, this has a gel-like feel that is also very stretchy and soft. Such a feeling is of course going to be polarizing as some sleepers will prefer the more traditional innerspring or memory foam beds.
